Default Review my site and I'll review yours.

Hi,

I'd really appreciate some objective looks at my new site design at www.meetbyweb.com. Your feedback will truly help me.

To give back for your assistance, let me know if you would like me to review a site of yours. I'd be happy to do that.

Thanks,

The colors are bothersome. I can see you tried to go with the sophisticated looking style often seen in webhosting companies.

The heaviest colors were Blue, Gray, Light Blue, and orange. It's nice you used pastels here and there but Gray and Dark blue are too strong to combine. Also, the text on the gray buttons is just plain whiteop agai, it doesn't look like it fits. Lighten the gray in very very top too. The small layer of darker gray above the gray buttons doesn't work because it didn't darken the white of the lighting. It looks out of place. In the logo there's a red guy that stands out more than a kkk wizard in the million man march.

It feels crouded. Eliminated the Bold Underlined text. Having it span out more than the article doesn't look good.

The asian girl in the corner got her laptop cut in half. I wouldn't be smiling. It looks like the bottom of it is air brushed out. Sloppy.

At the bottom the dark blue, on blue background links are annoying to look at.

Add a shadow to the right bar like you did the left. The shadow looks sleek.

Slow loading, but not much you can do there.

Clean it up a bit and it'll look great.

Default KKK Man...

"...there's a red guy that stands out more than a kkk wizard in the million man march." - Funny stuff!

Elite Skills,

Thanks a lot for the review! That is exactly what I need and very helpful. You know your stuff!

PS- The Asian girl had her laptop cut in half due to company cost cutting. She's smiling because the guy that got the other half just got fired. The next time you see her she may have a whole laptop again.

Rob,

I don't mind the colors so much, but the partial PC does need help, and the blue on blue footer is hard to read.

I agree that the site seems to leap out at you. I'd eliminate the column at the left. Those points could be made very briefly in the copy in what is now the middle column. In fact, those are some real key selling points that I think should be in the main part of the copy.

The biggest issue you need to address, though, is that the site can't be viewed easily on a 800x600 screen. Those folks may be in the minority, but they're still around, and they won't stay on your site because of all the scrolling!

Hope this helps.

Kathleen
