Hi Joy,

I didn't have a great deal of time to look around the site thoroughly, but from my initial impression I am happy to share a few indea, which I hope are helpful.

The layout of the site is quite functional but I felt that it was a bit too crowded. Some more space between the elements would give "thinking room" as at present almost all of the screen is filled. White space and clear separated sections make it easier on the eye & brain to take in information.

Also, while the purple in once sense creates a strong colour scheme, there is in my opinion too much purple for one page!

A good design uses contrast to separate different sections of a site or page. If you tried something like using a background colour on your side navigation links with a different text colour & style, the contrast would make them cleared & more defined. The same principle could be applied to other parts of the pages.

I would also encourage you look at introducing a second colour, not merely use various shaded of the one colour. If used well, splashes of another colour in headings, borders, & links can help highlight the important parts of the page and be a useful visual "code" to separate headings from content & content from navigation etc...

I hope this helps.
Good Luck!
Tania

Hi Tania,
Thanks for looking and thanks for your suggestion. I agree. I had more colors and I was told it was too gaudy. I think I had too many colors. Now I don't have enough. It's hard to choose colors. I'm still trying to figure out what colors to use. Thanks again.

Hi Janeth,
I don't know why the first link says under construction. I got the same thing when I tried it. The second link does work though, if you want to try again. Thanks for trying to look. Joy

Same result here. Are you editing the live site online? If so, that is a BAD idea -- you should be editing on a test or development area and then roll the changes out. Good luck.
