Default Please review our site

Dear All,
Urrr - I would be greatly appreciative if someone can take a look at our site.
Im very new to web design (52yo non webbie) on a vertical learning curve with no html skills 6 mths ago. Had a friend assist in a rebuild from old frames site to current design. Still working it out as I go and adding features. It is conservative due to its market area - hence minimalist feel.
But open to suggestions.
Scared myself when I ran some suggested validations :).
But - some advice and suggestions would be nice - I'll just go put on my flack jacket :)
Well, here it is :
www.imspecialresor.se
Thanks in advance to you all - by the way - great and useful site...
Greg

first thing i'd suggest is to sort out the width probs with the front page.
The center frame is not big enough for the page that is loaded into it width ways, also the page that loads has a broken link to the picture. How about making that box smaller? and change either the background color or the blue text. The white text isnt so easy to read either, a little to small and i am half your age !

Does the scrolling piece on right need to be there?

The text in the center is a bit close to the menu for my liking.

all the stuff in the about us submenu could just be on one page couldnt it? big blocks of text arent very appealing to read, try breaking it up a bit.

sizing thing is very important at one point i had 3 sets of vertical scrollers embeded within each other.

In general the color scheme is very drab, try lighter colors in the background, break up the big chunks of text, the products pages are very dull, why would i want to read them? i would get past a couple of pages before i got bored. It needs an uplift, some nice pictures etc etc. Look at some of your competiters sites and see who you would be more inclined to contact.

Sorry if its too negitive but i say as i see.

Good luck, post again if and when you make some changes.

The opening page doesn't really get to the point. WORLD WIDE DESTINATIONS sounds like a travel site. Perhaps a meaningful tagline which explains what you do, and how you do it. The services page could replace the opening page.

There's a "trinket and trash" image of the incentive industry. Some case histories would go a long way toward explaining what you do is more than an ineffectual pat on the head.

The site looks okay, and I assume the structural validation issues are well known and alread being addressed. (Still looks okay on Firefox, FYI). Site copy could to a better job of informing the customer. There isn't much by way of taglines or headings "butterflies flying together"? C'mon.

Dear Biggles & Dcrux,
OK - I asked for that- also I learned a valuable lesson, just befor I posted I made a change on the home page and overwrote it - stuffing up the size & layout and didnt refresh to check.. Hmmm.
We steered away from case histry as some clients obviously prefer not to be named.
The trinkets image is a hard one to shake but one we dont subscribe to- hence conservative look... maybe too far ?? We are working on photos & so-on now.
I also think we will remove or concatenate some areas to reduce wordage.
? where is the triple scroller - we dont see that--eek - do you mean the "news scroller" or scroll bars- those we are aware of and working now to do fix.
OK - now I will go put my head in the oven a few times :) - but thanks - its the kick I needed to rethink words, layout and look.
- but as you rightly pointed out - lift the color & feel and headings.....
Thanks - and I will come back - Im a glutton for punishment.
