Hi,

I'd welcome any feedback, ideas for improvement, etc. about the site: www.gettingitwriteinc.com

What do you think of the color, layout, load time, navigation, content? Would you want to work with this company?

Thanks all,

Kathleen

Hi Kathleen,

Over all I think the site is layed out well.

I like that you used some color. And the color seems to work.

It loaded quick for me, but I'm on Cable...

I don't see anything wrong with the content. It's written well...

Would I want to work with this company? We'd have to see how the free phone consultation goes:) But the fact I can talk to you helps.

I would make a suggestion though:

I would consider using keywords in your meta tag. They are is still used by some search engines. Better safe than sorry... and the way Google is these days, who really know if they don't use them now or will in the future...

At the very least I would pick 5-10 keywords or phrases that matches your content.

Good Luck with Your Endeavor!

The overall look of the site is much better than the teal green scheme you were using. It looks more professional than before.

A few misspellings - know-how s/b knowhow and hand-holding s/b handholding.

In regard to SEO, you've got 31 comments tags, which is "comment spamming". An example of a comment tag is Homestead SiteBuilder can be a very search engine unfriendly web editor and it creates all those comment tags, which are regarded as "comment-spamming" by the search engines. Use a different web editor or Notepad to clean up your HTML code before submission.

You're making good progress but, if you're serious about search engine placement, consider a different web editor.

Thanks for the response. Any others????

Here's some additional info:
I'm not an SEO expert, but there are a number of companies who specialize in SEO for Homestead sites and achieve high rankings. And, I believe comment tags are considered spam only when they contain hidden keywords.

The dictionary says:

2 entries found for knowhow.
know-how P Pronunciation Key (n hou )

So, I need to drop the hyphen on hand-holding!

Default I think it is very good.

I am just curious. Offering paypal for 'professional services' is not done over her.

Is that standard practice for you, or an attempt to be more accessible to small business ?

John,

It probably isn't done much over here, either. However, a lot of my clients are REALTORS. They very often have credit cards they use for all their business expenses because it helps them at tax time. Not many of them have elaborate accounting systems set up for their businesses.

My small business clients usually pay by check, but they have the option of using credit cards through the PayPal system, also.

I've never received payment using an actual PayPal account. But using PayPal's system allows me to accept credit cards without the work associated with maintaining my own merchant accounts.

Hope that answers the question!

Kathleen

Default Thanks

Yes I realised that you were using Paypal as a credit card collection method. I will store that up as an idea (probably more for my clients to use than me).
