Default re-evaluate www.kristiscovers.com

Well I am back up for the review again. I have made alot of technical changes. It has taken a couple of weeks in btwn kids but I am almost satisfied. I am using dreamweaver instead of frontpage now. So please give it to me straight and to the point about what needs to be fixed. Pic size, links right, alt tags, content, anything! Also, sometimes when I upload they don't show my current page with pics but the page without pics. and when I check from another location they are fine?! Whats up with that!?

Default site review "kristiscovers.com"

As I am also chasing 'gremlin' problems with my site, I understand some of the building frustrations. lol. Yes, some of the pics dont show, some are fuzzy, but, the first thing I noticed was when the home page came up, some of your description text was superimposed onto other blocks of description. "Double vision reading". The color of the text is a bit too close to the color of the background, making it a bit more difficult to read. Perhaps smaller thumbnail pics of each type of product located just above the descriptive catagories, that either enlarge that pic, or are linked to pages showing each applicable picture grouping under that catagory would be a bit easier to not only navigate for the visitor, but, hopefully easier to manage building uniformity with your pic sizes, resolution, etc.

Well... I'm not sure what's up but you seem to have a problem with a <div> or text cell overlapping your menu. "Any little girl would love to have a matching blanket like hers for her baby doll, right?" Is all on top of your menu IE 6, W2K os, 1024 x 768 resolution. Assume you can't see that or you would have fixed it before submitting for review.

Only other problem I see is... you really should drop the "click here" on all of your menu items. Most folks are aware the underlined different colored text is navigation and the "Home" link is usually understood by all, and thus would be indicative they've found the menu.

Likewise in the menu I see where you're trying to go with the different colored borders around the cells, but I honestly think it would better if you ran one color throughout.

Otherwise, great job on the graphics, both sizing them all and in layout, looks much nicer! Going contrary on my earlier comments for a bit on you here though, in that the "Click Here" under the photos looks to be alternate text, you might want to consider listing the product on the links left after mouse over for the sake of Search Engine Finds, assuming they're in your keywords.

Loved the new logo, very nice look there, fits with the rest of the site very cleanly.

Overall you got an A for effort on my part! A few minor fixes and it should work beautifully for you.
