| Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

Hi - This site is fairly new and in a very competitive market, it is about 6 months old and has just received a 5/10 PR from Google this past weekend after being 3/10 for about 5 months. I've been hired to try and drive more traffic to this site but would first like to get everyone's impressions of it and poke some holes in it if possible... I would appreciate any input on possible problems and potential remedies.
Thanks! |

Hi - Was the site offline? I hope not especially during the ongoing Google indexing of the site. Here's the direct link -> http://www.vegasonlinesports.com
I look forward to all reviews and critisism! |

I got "XML parsing error" on betting tools.
A lot of empty space on the right that could be used for ads or something to generate revenue. It took 6-7 sec to load the home page on a T1, but I like the way it loads modularly (is that a word? it is now). I don't know my ass from my elbow when it comes to gambling but it looks like you have a ton of info. The overall look is OK, just a little bland and chunky. Sportsbooks page needs work. Replace Arial w/ Verdana to make it consistent w/ other pages. Adding some color might be good. Just a little. You definately need a new logo. I'd be happy to design a few for you to choose from. I noticed that the 2 links at the top right return an error.
I'd suggest you regularly run a link checker on the site. Especially in your industry, establishing trust is a huge deal, so you want to make sure - first and foremost - that everything works. A potential customer sees one broken link, one thing that doesn't work, and you can pretty much bet on them leaving (sorry, I couldn't help it....) |

Thanks for the input from everyone, I will be putting these ideas into action and perhaps resubmit to this thread for more site-ripping! Because of the competitive nature of this industry, I need all the critique that I can get.
Thanks again.

I like the page, but there is a couple of quick things... I know it would have to change the entire design but the page just feels like it should be right in the middle. Like yahoo. The animations are not bad but the one with the football running toward me kind of makes me uncomfortable. Like he's running me off the page. I know that it the problem of the advertiser, but still. And last, I did not know who Jim Feist or Dave Cokin was before I came to your site, but I now I do. When you see the same picture over and over through out the site it makes it feel like your repeating the information, even though your probably not. I guess I have to be a gambler.

Hi BlackCastle and all - thanks for the input. The reason there is so much repetition is that we're trying to convert people who are new to sports gambling and handicapping. So we're constantly trying to make them feel comfortable and get a sense of trust from our cappers.
I've been bringing up the other points with our design team and we'll hopefully all be able to agree on a design for this site - although this site has just gone through an entire redesign and restructuring. I really enjoy getting this feedback from everyone and do hope they will keep coming in. Thanks
