Default please review this site: www.1040rus.com

I'm a tax preparer and have done about everything I know to do to make this site load quickly, easy to ready and assure a possible client to file online.

This is a templete from 1040.com and I'm limited as to the changes I can make. I would appreciate your opinions. Thank you.

Why did you decide to go with a template?
When you have medium gray on a light gray background the text is almost unreadable and SE could look negatively on this and annoy users.
The PDF’s should be a optional download offer it in web format with printable download option.
The color scheme gets old fast the grays ore a little much.
Try adding some photos the right photos and some white backgrounds could make a great difference.
Some pages are too long.
Conceder using Drop down menus this will make the site easer to use and faster to find what you want.
It seems odd that there is no e-mail link on the site only a submission forum this lowers the validity of the site.
Using a template site will lower your SE ranking.
A god cheap site to get some good photos for use is Http://www.istockphoto.com cost about $1 a photo

Looks very good to me. I think you might want to change your "hover" colors to something that is more outstanding.

Also, on your "calendar" page, I can't see the dates. The grays don't blend to well on that page. Just minor things you might want to look into.

Cosmetically, your site looks very nice to me.

The main things were already mentioned.

Red link on black bg is hard to read. Also white on gray and dark gray on light gray.

There's too much large white text at the top on the white background -- hard to read.

Your headings are inconsistant on the pages linked to on the top of the left menu and the bottom. Some have backgrounds others are just italicized.

I agree with the critiques already posted - lots of good information on taxes (insert sound of sobbing here).

I did notice that you don't have friendly details about your company or how to find/contact you. On your Services We Provide, consider adding your address and phone, then mirror that information on Office Hours and your Contact Us pages.

Default check your spelling and grammer

Hope this doesn't sound harsh, but it really is very important:

I looked at some of the pages of your site, and found quite a few spelling errors. Although it is true that most people can't spell, a professional site should be error free. A couple examples are:
multiply areas ......... should be multiple areas
last years' tax return .....last year's tax return
your just to busy ....you're just too busy

And this is all on one page of your site. You need to get an English teacher, or at least an outsider who really can spell, to check all of your copy. You cannot -- I repeat -- cannot -- proof your own work.

When I see this many errors "I'm outta there", assuming that the author doesn't know much about other things either. Errors in spelling on forum postings or in e mails may be understandable, but not on web pages.

And have an addition to the matter...
