The dolls you have on your site are beautiful! You really need find a design that will play up their beauty and the colorful artistry of the hand-painting of the pieces.

You may want to try something neutral, but not quite as stark as white for your background color. Perhaps a soft/pale green, beige, gray or perhaps an extremely pale yellow. Maybe even something in a "wood" color....

I'd suggest getting rid of the blue background on your links to start. It calls more attention to itself than is necessary. You want a visitor's attention on your dolls, not your links.

Perhaps a more subtle color, rather than such a bright blue would work better....

Also, I would extend the background color for your links down the length of the column, instead of making it end so abruptly. Consistency will help present a more professional image to potential buyers.

When you have more dolls that are new to your site, it would be better to include a link when you suggest people go see them. Make it easy for your visitors to find their way around. Don't make them have to stop and think! Show them the way, and they may thank you with a purchase.

You also need to use consistent navigation on each and every page of your site. And be sure to include a set of links at the bottom of any pages where scrolling is necessary.

Because of the large amounts of text you have on some pages, I would suggest keeping your navigation links on one side or the other of your site. It will prevent having extra wide lines for visitors to read. Lines of text that are too wide can make reading very difficult and taxing for your visitors.

HTH!
