Any reviews would be deeply appreciated. This website is for Coloma Meats Inc. It is about halfway through development and I just can't help but feel there is something really WRONG.
I think it may be the navigation. I initially put in a sidebar with quick and easy Product links, but my client ALSO wants a drop down menu for the products. In other words, they want BOTH. Is it bad form to list links in this manner?

Eventually the client will be providing product and pricing information.

Maybe it's something else that's just not right, but I have been looking at this website for 5 days straight and I can't see it.

Thanks a bunch to anyone who will respond.

I guess it's no surprise that I'm here replying to my own post, since I spend so much time talking to myself. :)
Changed all the text to one font, and colors on the nav bar. It looks better.
Any comments? Anyone? Feeling awfully alone here...

Hello,

I think your website is easy to navigate and has a clean look. The thing that I really don't like is the top with the 'fur' but I don't know if you can change it for something else or not (it is a request from your client?).
Also the colors (blue and yellow)are a bit strong and dark, I don't know if you could try something else. I know that some colours are not good to use when selling food products but I don't know which ones !!
The photos are ok but they don't make me 'hungry'...:O|

I hope this helps !

Thanks Joanne,
I had a different look and was messing around with it one day, thought the fur was kind of funny (bison, get it?) and when the client saw it they liked it and asked me to keep it. Also the colors have to stay as they want it all to be the same as their logo (which on most of the packaging is that bright yellow and blue.) Maybe if I get a lot of responses here I could convince them to change their minds about the colors...

I agree about the photos, some are mine and some were theirs, but I'm not a photographer so... LOL Maybe if they keep giving me samples I can eventually get something that's really "yummy" looking. I'll have to keep working on it.

BTW, their product really is incredible, best summer sausage I've ever had. When I tasted it I wanted to call Dean & Deluca!

Anybody else? Come on, give it to me... :)
