I'm sure the content might be all well and good, but it is difficult to read it because it seems to be haphazardly centered in some places and not in others. Plus you made the comment on your site...

... that's never a good thing to make people hunt for the links. Just suggestions.

I'm going to be honest, OK? :)

Your intro page has too much on it. It was interesting that you say 'best viewed at 800x600' because I can't see why - the site resizes to fit whatever browser size you use.

Inside you are using far too many animated GIFs. They add nothing at all, and mean slow downloads for most people.

I'm not sure what dancing naked ladies add to a site that is saying it is 'giving advice'. In fact, I nearly didn't bother looking at the bottom of the page (the dancing naked lady is about 8 inches high and that menu system occupies about 10% of the page right out of sight.

After I did try a few of the links I couldn't figure out what 'advice' I was getting - because the two pages I looked at were full of large animated GIFs that were not linked to anything else in any way, so I guess I reached a dead end.

Your buttons are way too big on the main page, and they are again at the bottom where people won't see them. One of them is 400x95 pixels - that's almost as big as some websites :)

I think you need to go back to the drawing board and think about design and content. Tell people what advice they'll be getting, allow them to get it clearly and quickly, and lose the animated GIFs.

Take a look at this information on dos and don'ts.

Default Hi

I just want to be honest? :)

I find this site very confusing. I understand that the idea is for it to be fun, but I think I'd like to see a clearer communication on the opening page as to what the site is about.

It looks like it's just for a hoot, but who is your audience?

I don't see the need for the animated gifs. Perhaps you could change the background to .... white?

Just a few suggestions, not meant to be overly critical!

Thanks--

Default Hi Robin

Thanks for looking at the site.
The site has been hard to construct. I would also like to be honest in saying we really did not know what to put on the site and we rely heavily on honest feedback like yours. It would do no good for people to say they like the site and in reality they do not.
I live in England and constructing websites is something new for us. That is why we like coming to your forums for advice and hopefully some guidance.
I will make some changes and submit it again in the near future.
In the meantime Thank you very much for your feedback.
I have visited your website and like it.

Yours Truly.........Olaf

Default Learn, learn, and learn !

Honestly, you have to much to learn. Go visit websites and in each of them click "View" in IExplorer toolbar and then in there "Source". U will see html code of this site. Learn from it. Sometimes they use Cascade Style Sheets: .css files, look in them too.
Have a good luck !

VM

You are right we have to [too] much to learn.
We will visit more sites and luck [look] at the source.
But we are years behind in the art of building websites and even the most experienced webmasters started at some point.
Thanks for your comments vm.

yours truly..Olaf
