Default www.marketingmasters.co.uk

OK guys I know it's not the prettiest site in the world but up til 6 months ago it was always on the first page of Google for anything sensible that the punter keyed in. Then it plummeted - it hasn't been banned as you can type in the URL and it brings it back in the results, but I can't for the life of me understand why it's now down around 500th in the rankings. Am I doing something stupid (and please don't say yeah - using microsoft FrontPage :-)
It doesn't look to me that the results coming back from Google in this particular area (eg for Masters in Marketing) have changed in more than 6 months. Is this possible?
Thanks
Mike

Google is always changing their algorithms. Also, you need to make sure to always be adding fresh content. Just because things don't look like they have changed on Google doesn't mean they haven't. New web sites are being added every day. When is the last time you updated the site? On the main page it says:

Default new term for new media ?

Hi

If you are going to follow the previous poster's advice you will need to find something different to say. That can be difficult when you believe that you have something quite 'finished' and 'tight'.

But a brochure it ain't, so fluid it must become.

May I suggest that the 'new media' terminology may be worthy of a refresh (unless your target market is very slow) ? (smile )

Good luck

John
