Ok goodmorning ... We are now going off our previous web host template 01/01/04 and begining to build our own site and as usual you all are making us think, think, think! Does this strike anyone as appropriate as compared with the last two submissions on page 2 and 3 ? My personal feeling is that its to dark and gloomy but maybe im wrong? Anyway the tech guys are really mad at me anyway as all your comments produced an amount of work that they are not used to. But hey im paying them and after all it is a girl's right to change her mind right? Please.. very critical feedback is critical on this as time and money are being spent.

Thanks
Diamond (aka Carol)

Carol,
It is dificult to tell from the sample wnat the site will look like. I am inclined to agree about the dark background. I have other reservations about creating a RE site from scratch, I talked to Sean for quite a while on Fri. A lot can be done with an iHouse site, or Advanced Access, or Homes.com. Those are a few of the companies that host RE sites and have IDX capability. Check out www.homesyourway.com (iHouse2000), www.nwhomesyourway.com (homes.com). We also discussed recriprocal links for like minded real estate agents.

Hi diamond,

I'm assuming you're asking for a critique of the screen-shot in the middle of the page?

I don't mind the black, but I think the colour of the text and the blue graphics around it kinda clashes.

Also, the banners/logos on the right, in my opinion, come across as affiliate banners, which I don't think is your intention.
You may want to think about meshing them a little with the background. Possibly using fading, or soften the edges.

As for the second link you posted...
I might be a little tired and blurry-eyed, but I didn't see " between clipart and rates "web page" good? bad? "

Thanks Cyanide, Yes you are right something about this page just doesnt look right to me. I think it has a very masculine feel to it dark dark dark! If you click on the page it gets bigger... Also I was attempting to help those who are still sleepwalking to get to the point of critisizm by looking on the page for the "web page" which is located between the "clip art" and the "rates" thats all.
