| Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

The reviews on this forum are very helpful.
Please review my ecommerce site: I'm looking for all feedback, especially ways to improve search engine ranking and sales conversion. Thanks for any comments! Ed |

Mary,
Thanks for your input. >you might try for a bit more information on the products... Any specific suggestions? I have supporting info in the Ring Options and FAQ top menus. >since you ask for a specific grade when ordering, you should indicate somewhere what each grade is and what the difference is. Fixed - now in the Ring Options Help menu on each ring page. >I found a grammatical error on your home page. Fixed. > You might consider adding a new page "about us" and put that information there, rather than making your index page so long. I have an About Us page (top menu under Contact Us). I added much of the same text to the bottom of the home page because when I correlated design attributes with top ranking competitors, I found they had a higher home page word count. I understand the SEs prefer at least 250-600 words. Thanks again for any input. Ed |

Ed,
I think that 600 words might be a bit much...anywhere from 250 to 400 might be better. And, those words should ideally be about your product and the reason your visitor should buy from you as opposed to going elsewhere (unless, of course, you have no competition). You have 5 seconds to grab your visitor's attention... most people scan rather than read (unfortunately, we live in a time where no one seems to make the time to fully read anything)...smaller paragraphs with headers seem to be easier for viewers to read. you could use some of your info from options on your index page... grab them immediately... don't make anyone search your site for information that is essential to their purchasing. |
