Good day everyone... Our site has been up for approximately 3 months now, and while traffic is coming to our wesbite we are not seeing anyone purchase anything.

I would like to hear feedback from anyone on why you may think this is happening based on our current design, and any suggestions you may have for improving it would grealty be appreciated.

It is a well designed site, and also grabs attention. Could be why visitors are coming back, they like it.

Here is one reason why they aren't ordering: on your XM page you have this posted... (our new Roady II product should be in stock in 10-14 days, so check back with us soon for this great new product!)

Instead of having visitors "check back" (which they usually don't) issue a raincheck instead. A raincheck can gaurantee that you get customer info so you can let them know when to come back (since you are on the internet, notify them by email).

Next I asked myself about credibility: you give a lot of information about yourself, it can't be that. You have a physical address, telephone, etc. It can't be that that's hurting you.

So then I wondered: how would I install it? You covered that, too. You offered some info on installation services. It can't be that.

So if you're site is well done, you have some credibility, the only other thing I can think of is that your industry is in a slight lull. This is normal, and if I am correct you should be pulling out of it soon. Sometimes a little patience is required. They didn't build Rome in a day, although three months is a while to wait...

By the way, does your site also offer extra parts and receivers? That could be a plus, since sometimes damage and replacement is needed (especially if you are like me and you back your own travel trailer straight into the dish on the side of the house).

A couple of points, you say "traffic is coming to our wesbite". But how much? As a very rough rule, from sites I run, with everything else right - price, competition, availability etc, one sale of items around $50 occur for ever 500 visitors. This is a very rough rule and will of course depend where your visitors come from. This is based on SE referrals.

Secondly your site looks good. It's a tad confusing with a barrage of specials as you enter. Then you are taken off site to other URLs which can suggest that a better deal is available elsewhere if you get a cut too!

Thanks for both replies. We are hearing the same thing from everybody we talk to. you site looks great,.

We are working to unclutter the home page, as there is way too much happening there I agree. As for my reference to "alot" of traffic, we are seeing approximately 500 unique (have not been to the site in the last 30 days) visitors. not bad since we are only makerting this page throught our direct mail pieces and a small po-up market with undertone networks.

As for the industry, there are several other competitors in the mareket place which are selling 5,000 DIRECTv systemks a month. Rome wasnt built in a day correct, but at this pace, it would be built in about 1000 years. our pricing is at or better than any other competitor we believe.

A question for everyone, Is it a good Idea to specifically mention your competitors and their higher prices.. I mean stating things such as... Compared to Comany ABC which charges $39.95 s&H our low cost of $29.95 saves you money.. I have heard arguments form both sides of the fence on this one..
