A basic website all about us spending a few months travelling around the world.
Originally just a way to keep the folks back home up to date on our movements but now more and more people are showing an interest, it's time for some positive feedback on what could make it more enjoyable to view ensuring visitors to our site get as much from it as possible.

I really like the idea of a diary/photo journal/info site...and the links page is awesome! What a great resource.

My only negative is about the background color...it may be my monitor...but it's kind of a pea soup color and the blue of the maps doesn't do it any favors. :-) I'm on an iMac and use Netscape...I have no idea if either of those two things can make a color uninviting or not, but just thought I'd mention it.

Pea soup huh?? :-) The idea of that was we wanted to make it look a bit earthy!! and didn't want to use browns,,,,,

I do like the mix of text, that makes the site readble and clearly structured , as well as fast - and on the othe hand the popups (maybe a bit dangerous, as a lot of people stop popups).
I like the contrast between the blue text (blue, but clearly differentiated from link-blue) and the "earthy" colour.
I think a lot of design hints can be found implemented here, implemented by talent or just by reading some information.
But nevertheless its a page with personality ! I d like to have this spirit.

I always thought the content was far more interesting than the design but sounds quite positive so far!!!
