I am submitting my site for review by you guys to get an honest opinion on my efforts. I have no qualifications in this field and this site has been a huge project for me.

I feel that now I have got too close to be able to stand back and look at it with objectivity.

Please let me know what you guys think especially regarding SEO and other ways that I could improve the site.

I will reciprocate any reviews. Thanks for taking the time to read this and look forward to your reviews.

Many thanks

You have certainly spent some good time creating a good-looking site. However, here are some things to point out:

Definitely use some good grammar! Everywhere in the site are sentences splotched with a space and then !. You want to look professional, and visitors will notice small things like that.

You need a home page that captures attention. A long page of information about your site belongs in a page named "About BuyMeBay" not the home page. Some graphics, pictures, a good layout, etc. can contribute to capture attention. (I also noticed that your "about buymebay" link on the bottom of the page is linked to the home page).

Sorry, but you need a logo. Since most sites nowadays that are successful have their own logos, you should follow the tradition. A plain-lettered buymebay.com is boring, and you want it to look cool and appease to your targeted visitors. If you need help with a designed logo, I suggest submitting it here at WebProWorld: http://webproworld.com/viewforum.php?f=26 the Submit Your Logo For Review Forum. You can also have one designed, but be prepared to pay money.

I did notice your message about EBay, and you are right, they might come after you. It also happened with Booble (adult search engine) and Google. They claimed to be a parody, however, and lawyers refused it. Just be sure that you might have to change your name. If you are ready to fight it, look up your local laws and international laws and get ready to concoct a good defense.

Hope this helps...
