The thign that grabs me abou this (besides too small font) is the fact that this home page is really an index to lots of bulletin boards. I would make this clearer and make it the main content of the page not just a nav link. The idea of side nav links is they are there on every page. This isn't. Its a one stop index so the actualy link to the boards should be the content not stuck on the left...

Thats my opinion anyway...

The forum you have decided to use, phpBB, has a huge community of users, developers, hackers and designers; count me as one of each! I strongly urge you to use the community to your advantage and your websites benefit.
You can add a more unique design, and a nice mod to use as the frontpage to pull recent posts, show a frontpage message, etc., etc..
These suggestions will tighten the integration of the forum to your site and make it look different from the many, many other sites using phpBB.
In short, do something that takes your phpBB website beyond the stock install.

I think your 'Cash Stocks' page is very usefull! Why not make it more prominent, get every page there and make it a strong focal point.

We registered this domain on 30 sept 2004 and today 9 oct,2004, just 10 days have passed and we saw our ranking in alexa today is 3,85,206. And our page view is very high.
We will immediately set the font size right. You are right our cash page has maximum hits but we have not highlighted so we will highlight it more.Surprising that you found this page. And we are getting very good feedback. But we do not know how to programme this phpbb as we are not programmers so just trying with whatever knowledge we have, the only thing we have in our mind is that there is hardly any good forum on Indian Stock Market in India and we are determined to make it one of the best.

Just by changing the font size and putting hyperlink of feedback and cash stocks, the site is looking good to me only. Thanks for your suggestions, I will look forward to more suggestions. Regarding the other suggestion of phpbb, I think it will take some time as we do not know anything about it, so we will have to understand it more.

This is crying out (IMO) for an image, to say a 1000 words. It is not immediately clear what this does - a clear statement would help.

It would be nice if "Some Common Questions" had some common answers.

You may not be php/script experts, but you could at least get rid of the standard PHPBB logo. There is nothing worse than a site with empty forums and you have perhaps been a little to ambitious with the number you have opened to start with - try to specialize...

I could not understand what you mean by IMO, do you mean to say a logo, well if it is logo, yes, we are going to find one and put it.
The suggestion of Some common questions and common answers is good, we will create the questions and put their answers inside. In fact honestly, I never thought of it.

We could not remove the PHPBB logo, do not know from which file to remove. Yes, you are right, we created too many forums, actually a lot of analyst promised me that they will join as moderators the moment the forum is started but now noone of them wants to take responsibility. Well, could be they only want to join once they are sure that I am serious.

I once again thank you for giving me suggestions.

IMO = in my oppinion

Simplest way to replace the image:
Right mouse click on the image, then click 'save picture as' you will see the file name. Then search your files for this name and open the file in a graphics program to get the dimensions.

Then make your image and replace it with the same name.

Thanks for all the guidance given, our alexa ratings and traffic has increased drastically and page views have really gone up quite a lot.

The only unfortunate part till now is that we are still not listed on major search engines. Could be it is because our domain is not even 2 months old.So it might take time.

Clean but not Crisp.. your bolded text is aliased pretty bad. Maybe use a diff font for the bold text.

Good job, Add a few small images and your set.

We registered our site on 30th Sept 2004 and now it is going to be 3 months old. What I realised after trying everything is that Old search engines do not easily want to crawl your site as they are afraid that a new site might change its content quite often and probably they will have to keep adjusting their rankings and other things.I think they are right in their thinking as we also changed our home page thrice to come to conclusion what is best for us and so were the titles, keywords etc changed. Now we have some how settled. But one thing we kept increasing was the content and that also a quality content. We get a very good traffic on our site even when we don't find our reference in a lot of search engines. We have only tried to give that sort of a content through which anyone who visits our site is motivated enough to come back to our site. As a policy we have decided to add a quality content page a day and are doing it. We are not focussing on the looks or search engine rankings etc but what we are looking forward is that anyone who comes to our site keeps coming. Our alexa ranking is now around 50000 which is not bad for a three month site. (But this could be more due to the reason we suggested to our friends to use alexa toolbar as it gave a list of competitors sites also along with if anyone else opened any site. This might have helped us in alexa ranking as all of them visit our site at least a day.) We are also indebted to this forum at webproworld where we got a lot of ideas.

But one main thing I would suggest for all newbies the newcomers is that content is what counts as the main thing and that content should be your own or a fresh one so that people want to read it again and again.Do not expect traffic without fresh content or which is not evergreen. As far as search engines are concerned, it is better to wait for them as they will take their own time to come to your site.
