Default christianministryresource.com Desperate Need of Review

I am in desperate need of some feedback on what I should do to improve the design of this site.I still am working on bits and pieces of the source code and making modifications but that seems to be the easy part. What I really need to do is enhance this site's look more for the client. Here is the link:

http://christianministryresource.com

The current colors need to be the dominate color according to my client and he wants the sky in the header but I am coming to my wits end as to what else to do with this to make the site look better. Somthing is definately missing and I don't know what I should do. I guess I have creativity block right now so any helpful ideas is greatly appreciated.

I think it's a beautiful, well organized, clean site with super easy navigation. My only suggestions would be to first move the "welcome" paragraph to the top of the home page. That would give just enough background and site info to let me know why I'm there and what I can expect to see if I stick around.

Also, I would put a clearly defined "Home" link on all other pages. I had to hunt for a minute to find out how to get back there. Linking the logo to the home page is always good too.

Overall, I think your client should be very pleased. It looks great!

Default Well...

To be honest, that site is really good and you have obviously spent quite abit of time and allot of effort perfecting it,

Just one criticism, right at the top in the middle, there seems to be a big purple space, maybe extend the sky out words.

The footer is brown and should be light blue the the menu.

Good work.

Thanks for some of those tips. Yeah. I recognize that there is that empty space. I think I just don't know what to do with it. I initially had the site contained in a 750 px width but the client wanted the header to go all the way across. Any suggestions on how to handle this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Default Good

The changes you have made already make the site look better, you could just move the two images in slightly so that the gap in the middle is less obvious, but not too much so that you can see the gaps on the outside

Looks good...what if you move the purple text that says "The Church Resource for Multimedia" along with the following welcome paragraph above all the other stuff. It seems like that's where it belongs. It may be worth a try.

Great ideas all. Thanks. I was able to move the logo over some but there is not much room if the site wereviewed at 80o x 600. I added a gradient to the top. If you all think that helps let me know.

Thanks again.

Man, moving that welcome paragraph up makes a HUGE difference. Looking good, real good. :)

One more little picky thing...In that welcome paragraph I don't think there should be a question mark after 'log yourself in'. Sorry to pick.

Yeah. Your are right about the text. Actually I think the client will probably have me insert somethin different there. Not sure what. Thanks again.
