hello all you people. we were wondering if you can help us. we have had a website for about 3 years now.
we sell simple thai clothes. the problem is we have never sold any!
first we used our own merchant account to process credit cards - but this attracted no customers.
then we got TRustE validation - still no customers.
then we got paid inclusion in inktomi - and since this april have been dropped by all their search engins.
we then paid worldpay to do our clearing - we just got loads of fraud attempts through them, so we dropped them.
we have tried adwords but this has cost us $60 a month with no customers - may not seem much but we are a tiny company run by myself and my wife.
we have now switched to paypal to try to give more security but things have not improved.
can one of you nice people take a look at you site and give us your kind opinion of what the problem might be? or is it just our location?

Hi,

I can't see anything wrong at first regarding your site but here are a couple of comments that may help.

on the hompage, the two boxes (inside shop & service) look like google adsense and don't cover the whole width of the page (unlike the text above)

on the homepage I would put some picture to try and break the text up a bit and to attract people.

on the contact page try and put the address and contact number back on the main body of the page (even if it's at the bottom of every pages). People with small screen might not scroll down and think that your company can only be contacted by form/email.

we ran our site through sitereportcard and it said we had to many keywords so we halved them, we also added some alt image tags.
actually the index page has lots of colourful pics of our clothes but since we made these changes the software that builds the store will not display half the index page! i am waiting for them to contact us. yes, that's another headache, poorly designed design software. if you want to know who they are it's in the header of our index page. we have had nothing but problems with them but when you are trying to do things on the cheap you have to make consessions.
