Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate.

Default www.capulindesign.com

Thanks for your time and reviews.... here's the site link:

http://www.capulindesign.com

This site I did for my co-worker who is our Art Director. She created the design and told me how she wanted it displayed, with mouse-overs etc.

I am mainly interested in making sure that it is showing up ok on other computers. She wanted to keep the content in a controlled window, so thats why the site breaks out into a seperate window.

I am in the process of putting alt tags in for the images, but finding that since this site is design heavy, there isn't a lot of text content that helps to boost SE ranking. Without compromising design, what else besides img alt tags can I add for SEO?

I did make a favicon for this site, so be sure to check that out by bookmarking the site, then using your bookmark to load the site. I love favicons!

Thanks again,
Sandy

Your site is impressive. I liked the way how the layout was created and the way the colors were mixed. A good combination. Though i'm not in favor with pop-up windows, overall the site is great. With regards to search engine optimization, I think what you can do is create a separate page called a doorway page which will be used by search engines to index your site, though it's not a guarantee that it will be submitted right away, having one is a great way to rank high, the page would have a logo of your site and some alt tags that would contain keywords for your site. Some search engines do not accept the keywords to index your site (i.e. Google) but rather keeps track of the contents of the page and grabs relevant information on your site for it to get indexed. From my experience, since I submitted my site by creating a doorway page, it has given me good rankings in most major search engines. But i'm sure others who will review your site will give you better ideas as well.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for the review. The pop up windows were the only way I could figure out how to keep the size of the window a controlled size. I couldn't figure out how to make the site initially load into it's own pre-determined size window, so we went with an entry page that could spawn the window desired.

Thanks again, it was a fun site to work on. I enjoy collaborative efforts!
