This is web-site for a small church in Maine, submitted for your review. As the pro's here will likely notice, my web design techniques owe a lot to trial and error...

My first question to you is: if you did the site in a no-frames version, why would you even want to do a frames version?

1. I don't know the name of the church.. but from what I perceive Maine to be is "conservative" and your site is very garish... not worthy of any church. The colors are not what I would associate with any religion at all.
The name of the church should be on the top of each page... each page should have a consistent look.

2. when I entered the initial version (frames), my first sight was the text (which, by the way, is entirely too large throughout the site - it appears that you are literally screaming at your viewers). The graphic you have mid-way down the page is much much too large... it should be about 1/4 of the size it is now... and probably should be your logo, which should be located on the left of the screen with the church name next to it (centered on the screen).

3. Your "cool Links" should be on a separate page...

4. your navigation structure should be on the left of the screen near the top of the page... why are you making people scroll down to navigate? The nav buttons need to be much smaller....they are currently overwhelming - as is most of the site...
and the text navigation needs to be a different color when the mouse hovers - it is currently almost invisible.

5. I clicked on several links... your pages are entirely too long.....

I am at a loss to understand what you are trying to do with this site....

I usually try to make some positive comments when I am reviewing a site, but, honestly, I cannot find anything positive about this site... my suggestion is to go back to the drawing board and start fresh.

May I suggest you visit the web-site?

I visited the website..the name of the church should be in the title of the page... it should be the first thing a viewer sees.

Shush Info, the name is "Pastors Study". Unfortunately, when that was shouted at me as soon as the page opened I had a panic attack and had to go mix a drink.

In 800X600 I had to scroll to see the page. At that point I quit looking. You've only got one chance to hook the mark. You're missing it. The java or flash in the menu is a nice touch but not enough to get me to look further. Size the page and post a welcome that lets visitors know what they're in for, post for another review. You're on the right track but have some work ahead of you.

well,.. I think I went to the correct site this time... but "pastor's study" to me means exactly that... the pastor's study..... where is the name of the church?...
and, Frederika, this site is a bit better than the one I originally reviewed, but not a lot...
Do you think that your viewers cannot read a smaller font? or need to have the text screaming at them?
