Hi,
I created the above subject site using Net Object Fusion 7.5 - os = Win98. My question: Using the feature called "Plug In" - which allows me to select an *.pdf file for inclusion, is giving me a problem. Sending my link to associates - The IntExplorer people get the plug in's to appear on their screen. The Macintosh users get a message "with a broken link in the middle of the page. Something about a missing plug-in". Both these persons have been MAC users for years, heavily involved in desktop publishing, and tell me they have the latest updates loaded. Another user has NetScape and cannot access either of the 2 plug-in pages. In Net Object Fusion V-7.5 is there another way to place an *.pdf file into my site that I up-load to a server Thanks for any/all help. pete |

Don't force a plug-in install EVER. It's a terrible breach of internet protocol. Why in the world would you want to use a plug-in that your visitors probably don't have? Isn't there a better way to do it that everyone can see?
I've got to tell you that after having to abort the install I didn't go back to your site. If I was a potential customer I sure wouldn't have either. JM http://www.crucibledesigns.com http://www.akalt.net |

You're right about NOT using plug-in's . . I thought it was a more efficient way to show a *.pdf.
I'll do my linking to the *.pdf differently - and have the viewer click the browser back button to return to the site. Many Mac and Netscape users I know were railing on me. FoxFire users also. Hope I have it right now. I've asked the creators of Net Object Fusion 7.5 about the Plug-In, however I really don't expect an answer for some time. thanks again, madisonPete |
