Default Site REview: http://www.self-help-personal-development.com

Hi

I'd really appreciate your comments on my website.

http://www.self-help-personal-development.com

It's been up since the beginning of the year and I'm getting just over 5,000 visitors a month. I know that there is much more room for improvement and am currently developing a link directory. Most of my visitors come from Google. There is quite a bit more I could do to optimize it to get more visitors.

The only promotion I've done is to send out articles and I get a lot of success with that. But that's about it. When I develop my personal coaching site, obviously I hope that they'll be follow through.

It's an affiliate site and most of the links are encoded into articles or in the author's signature. I did think about making it more bviously "salesy" -but that never seems to work for me. So I concentrated on providing good content, especially articles from those whom I am an affiliate for.

I've made to date a couple of hundred dollars from the site and wondered if there was anything else that I could do to help conversion rates. It may be that I just need more traffic and get the numbers up to really see changes. But getting more traffic without resultant conversion isn't really helpful. But the fact that I've made SOME money is a signal.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this. I've done the checks suggested and there are changes needed re: W3 which I'll attend to, but it's really what I require to do to make the site more profitable.

5000 hits a month is pretty good. Seems to be rather a lot of text on the site to plough through. Perhaps needs some more concise text at the top as to what it is exactly you are offering and why it is so good. Hope this helps. Good luck with it.

Nick

Hi Nick

Thanks for your commments. I am continually updating the site and haven't reviewed the home page for a while - when I do so will take your comments on board.
