Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate.

Default http://courseinmiracles.com

Hi All,
It has been a while since I last submitted my site for review. Since than I bought a domain(http://courseinmiracles.com) and did alot of work on Navigation.
This site is simply to make A Course In Miracles available to anyone, anywhere.I have Atomz as an internal search program,(700 pages)which they do for free. They seem to do a good job,but if know of any problems you may have found with them I would like to know about it.As much as I LOVE free stuff, you can't always be sure of what you are getting.
Anyway, thanks to the feed back I think I have sorted out my previous nav problems, but you can always let me know how to improve it.
Now I'd like to get it on the engines....any suggestions?
God Bless
Tony

Default review

You may want to think of more visuals maybe some stock photos.
A home page link would be useful.
Lots of information well laid out good job.

Default Thanks for checking it out

Thanks for looking over the site.
I am not sure what you mean by a homepage link, do you mean linking to itself? like a circular type of thing or are you talking about from all the other pages on the site?
I recently changed to color of the index page and I didn't find any white text on white backround.
Thanks
Tony

Default Hi Tony

I didn't get to look at every page of your site, but a few things that I noticed are:

For Search Engine purposes, I think the "Title" on your main page is a bit too long. If you remove the first "Course In Miracle", you have it listed twice in the Title, it might fit better at the major SEs.

I have to scroll quite a bit to the right to see your main (home) page. This is probably due to the "sizes" you are using in your "TH" and "TD" cells. They seem to exceed 800, which is the resolution that I am currently using on my computer.

I personally think that you need to rearrange the Booklets page. It's a bit confusing to me. Are the graphics supposed to be co-ordinated with the free booklets, or are they just for decoration? This particular page seems to be in a bit of disarray. Great idea to give away the free booklets, and I applaud you for that. I just think it could be set up a tad better.

All in all, the site looks very good. Just needs some tweaking.

And, also, it seems that all links tend to open up in "new windows", which is a bit annoying to me. I think you should only use that feature if someone who visits your site is clicking on a link that might take them away from your site.

Good luck to you, and keep us posted and let us know how it's evolving.

Davey

Default Hey Davey

Yeah thanks,
I don't understand why you need to scroll right...what browser are you using?
I checked in IE and I use mozzila firefox and they both show it as ok...strange.
Most of the links are internal one goes out to amazon and one goes to the booklet page and one to the links page. There are just over 700 pages in the site and most link in the same window.
I just added a "click on title" instruction to the booklet page...Yeah the page is a bit "all over the place" I'll look at re-thinking that :-)
Oh yeah the title has been shortened.
Thanks for help

Tony
