The text that is on the bottom of your index page should be the first thing your visitor sees... to explain who and what you are..
also, I realize that you are only in 4 states, but you should indicate that immediately... simply because you have all the states listed.... (sometimes people need to be told everything in exact detail).

There is simply too much clicking in order to get to a specific topic... I needed to click about 4-5 times to get to a campground in New Mexico... most people don't want to work that hard....you need to make it much easier - here is a site that my daughter has found for her vacation... www.gonowvacation.com
although you are not in any competition with them, it will give you an idea about navigating... sometimes opening in a new window is the best option.
