Default A couple things I noticed.

I noticed you linked to a blank - under construction page. I would not put in on unless it is complete. Second tere is a picture on your advertising page that does not load. Last thing is the pages do not fit the standard 600 - 800 screen.

I hope the information may be of help.

If you have any pionters for me on my page ( http://www.linerspecialist.com ) please let me know.

You use a strange color scheme... with dithering. It reminds me of the old, EGA cards days. Maybe you should use a wider palette?

Default review

took a while to load on my high speed connection.

spotted small speeling erra - give visiotors to your web site.

Like the cartoon but the general design leaves much to be desired.

broken imageb icf.jpg on http://www.cleverbumblebee.com/advertising.html

I do not think the change in colour scheme for different sections of your site works very well.

To really spice up your portfolio, perhaps use a little flash, flash videos using your animations would work well.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Default I wish I could draw.

I have always wished I could draw. It is weird that some people can draw so well and others can’t draw a straight line. As far as the site is concerned, like the guys above have stated, I also noticed several typos. As a web user I click off of a site ASAP when I see typos. It seems like the person that built the site didn’t care enough to proof their work so why should I care to stay and play. DS, has anyone else noticed all of the typos these days? It is amazing. A few of the daily news sites I use are riddled with typos. Grr!

Hi Bob,

I love your work. The cartoons are great and edgy, just the way I like - might be a little much for some, but humor comes in all shapes and sizes.

My only comment on your site design itself was the font in the small cap style on your home page is difficult for me to read with my fuzzy, middleaged eyesight. It's all blurry (my eyes are why, but I can usually read the screen without any trouble).

If you can, change the word saleman to salesman where it says, "Humour makes a great saleman... ;-)

If you have time, drop by my site for a look see and perhaps a word or two on my design? I'd appreciate it. I'm happy to link to cartoons relevant to my site as well if you have any small graphics with food or eating themes.

Default Eek! But let me also say...

Not to be totally rude. The 'toons are awesome. I like the colors, although continuity throughout is a plus IMHO. But, if there was a site that could pull off the ever changing color theme, yours could.

All in all, clean site. 'Toons are nice!

I wish I could draw...

First of all your invitation sentence was brilliant “: Ladies and gentlemen...” That was a significant sign of talent. And I was sure by entering into your site can expect a lot from an artist, and my guess was right. You are a very talented cartoonist.
However, I am not sure that the web design is of your work and if it is must have just started with. Regardless of the web design at this point and let’s concentrate on your art work. Some illustrations must be gif instead of JPG. You loose details and exposure on each image by using incorrect compression methods.

Best regards,
Kiumars

Default Heavy site

Bob,

Great art work for sure... but as far as the website,
it is too heavy. That is to say you rely on graphics
too much for navigation and content. Like on your
home page - the left side text/content is a graphic
with a whopping 79K!!! Where possible, replace
graphic based text with "real" rext... and it will
greatly speed up the load time.

The some other points I'd like to make:
  1. Add a link back to your home page... I
    couldn't find one.
  2. Use a consistant background color from page to page.
  3. I assume you want to sell your work/services. So, how do I buy from you? That
should be clear to the viewer and on every page of
your website. An order form of some sort would be good.

Great art work... and you're on your way to a site to match.

Default www.cleverbumblebee.com - comments

Well folks...I asked for comments and I sure got them.
Re spelling errors I agree there is no excuse and I am in the back yard eating worms. As soon as possible I shall amend and relaunch. I do appreciate the comments - well most of them anyway and I must say this is a great way of getting an impartial feedback. Usually I just ask my mum and she likes everything I do.

BUT...the comment that the overall design leaves much to be be desired....afterall if all web pages looked the same ...corporate/portal the net would be boring. I want to be in web pages that suck....its my ambition.

regards
bob
