While I know the dark colours may seem appropriate to your topic, the dark gery background with either white of black text is very hard to read. If you really want to go stick that colour scheme, change the typeface to verdana or arial. They are much easier to read on screen than the times new roman/serif style font you are currently using.

Overall I'd like to see a really neat skateing shot in you header. My girlfirends brother is a longboard skater and he & his friends just put together a DVD to promote themselves. They took ages on it but it was worthwhile because they got some great imagery, and that is one thing I think the inital impression of you site lacks at the moment.

The gallery photos didn't show up when I visited the page which was disappointing, but I did notice the one photo on the "Skate spots" page was a lot larger than it needed to be... The file size is 640 x 512 pixels but it only displays at 232 x 184 pixels... You should re-size pictures and save them at the size they will display on screen. The bigger size only slows the page down...

While it is to a degree personal preference, another thing you will hear from most people is that links should be a different colour to the rest of the text. While there is not rule set in stone it is something to consider.

It's not a thorough review but hopefully it is a start. Good luck!
