Very cute dogs. I can see why you want to put up a website for them.

So, my first question is this a hobby site or do you have a plan to make money off the site. Either way it needs to be cleaned up.

1. Get rid of the background. Its hard to read text over it and looks amaturish.
2. Red font on blue is VERY hard to read.
3. Get rid of the mouse banner effect.
4. Your navigation panel needs to be above the scroll on all monitors including 800 x 600 settings.
5. Write a 250 word article for your home page about the site for your visitors and the search engines.
6. Font size of interior pages is too large (never thought I'd say that!!!)
7. outside links should open in a new window.

Take care of these items and let us know to check back.

Good luck

JM

Thank You Jomariet!
My site is for profit.
I will make some, if not all, of your suggested changes.
At least you did not say you rubbed your eyes, ty.
Please explain to me the 250 word article. Do I put it on the first page? Should I repeat keywords or be careful not to?
Thanks for finally helping me understand about the mouse banner.
What's the deal with the (outside links should open in a new window).
Sorry how do I do that?
Thanks Again

You'll have to be careful about the repeated keywords eg: Patterdale Terrier, Patterdale Terriers, Patterdale Terrier Dogs,Patterdale Terrier Pictures, Patterdale Terrier Puppies... There's a good chance Google will spot them and ban your site. That background graphic, I'm sorry, it sucks (has to be said). It makes the text hard to read, it adds file size to your page, distracts the eye and just generally makes the page look like it was built 7-8 years ago when BG graphics were all the rage.

Hi,

Please don't spawn so many windows... You'd really have to be keen on these dogs to spend a lot of time on this website. Sorry.

Cheers,
Matt

"Please explain to me the 250 word article. Do I put it on the first page? Should I repeat keywords or be careful not to? "

"Pattersdale Kennels is a first class breeder of pedigreed yadayadayada... On this website you can find information about this that and the other thing."

Use your keywords but not excessively. Write for a visitor and the search engines will follow. If you are uncomfortable writing content, try reading it out loud. Does it sound natural? Does it say what you want it to say? Send it to 5 or 10 friends and ask for their critique.

"What's the deal with the (outside links should open in a new window). "

Links that go to a site other than your own should open in a new window. You don't want to lose the visitor while they go off looking at horses. Find a good html guide for how to do these kind of links. (target="_blank").

Good luck, let us know when it's ready to re-review!
