This site is for a group of companies that collectively go under a parent organization. The website is supposed to offer information to prospective customers, as well as some customer service functions. One of the challenges with this site is the fact that so many different products are put into one basket. Any thoughts on navigation, style and/or design would be greatly appreciated.

The site looks okay. What you are going to have to look into is user testing. That means getting past what users think, past non-user opinions, and sit users down and observe what they really do. You are past the point where opinions are going to do much.
You may find the way you organize the site is not the way users do. You may be focussing on physicians when office managers are key influencers you have to win over first. Desirability testing techniques may determine something you aren't even offering is a key factor in a decision to buy what is offered. My sister is, right now, pulling her hair out over some billing issues she knows are losing clients money. But while she can define the problem, she hasn't found a course on how to effectively communicate with this practice. The site looks about as good as it is likely to get. What you need is less about looks and code and more about what users want. Quite often user opinion says one thing, and user actions say something quite different. |

Thank you for the thoughts. Yes, you hit it dead center with the physician / practice manager issue. Some of the products are personal, such as the financial services, and so the physician would be the user. Others are services typically handled by the practice manager. Tough to serve 2 very different audiences at once.
I haven't been able to get the company to spring for user testing yet. Physicians and insurance companies have to be some of the last people to believe in the power of a website! Thanks for looking at it. |
