I would really appreciate some help, any suggestions on improving our site and getting more traffic.

Nice site. The logo is very fitting and the layout is easy to follow.

Traffic, that's a tough one. Your type of site almost seems that in order to get more traffic you would need more traffic. People are going to come to your site because it's popular and has a lot to offer. First you need content and no body is going to waste their time submitting to your directory if it seems to be vacant. You might try borrowing content, filling up your site and then go and ask all the peoples business you have posted if it's ok, or would they rather be removed. (I might be way off on this one)

I would make some improvements to your links. In particular the ones linked with "more..." Why not make the headline clickable and even linking some of your keyword content. Making a link with "more..." always made sense to me too, until I learned that it makes people 'think' about what to do next. People seems to want to click on a link that tells them what they are going to get if they do click, and "more" is just too vague.
