It's not bad for your audience but the blue doesn't go to well with the background. I would use the teams logo for the background or have it white or whatever solid color you choose and just create a banner with the teams logo at the top.

Your background is a bit too busy... I would prefer a solid color...perhaps white...also, your text is entirely too large....
I did not view on a smaller monitor, but I would imagine it would be overwhelming...
I am presuming that since you are the un-official site, you are not able to use the logo, but I would try, if I were you... and use the same logo and title on every page, with a sub title of each page.
