Default Site Design

Well, for the most part I like the design.

Here are some things I noticed -
  • On your home page you list "Flexi-Hats" and "New Girls Clothes", but when I click on "Shop" I get some T-Shirts in addition to "Girls" and "Hats". Makes me wonder if there are any other 'hidden' products.
  • The "Be An Artist" link on your home page is dead.
  • On your "Contact" page you mention an art design contest. Tell me more about that - I kind of feel like an outsider.
  • You refuse to give an address on your page. Instead I have to call you to get an address. Makes you seem like a fly-by-night operation.
I like the branding - all pages have the same look. The logo is a little hard to read but I guess that belongs in the logo critique section.

You hit the right point. I wouldn't buy from such a "stealth" company, and many of your prospect customers may feel the same.

We are working on the address as we speak. We did not have one up yet because it's bound to change here soon. How about everything else?

Default What else do you need

I thihk yout site need to add interactivity, for example a page with replies of your visitors or guest book. It will be easy to know what else you need by visitor's comments.

"what else does it need??"
Ok the first thing any site offering services needs is a business plan. It looks as though you have some skills behind your design but if you have to ask others what your business needs to meet it's goals it tells me you didn't give it much thought before you sat down and created a truely artful site. You should always determine what your objectives are before you start then all you have to do is check to see if those are meet (not what they are) I would think about what I want to accomplish with the site.
1.Do I want to target local consumers? then how do I market it in SD.
2.what do I want to sell and and how do I display it(just like a store front after all that's what your website is)
3.Divide content into departments or not? (could make it easier to find)
I think you get the idea. I like the dark look that seems to fit the image you are trying to develope for your product but I would give the concept some more thought to get it fully developed.

Default ok

thanks for the feedback.. as far as the business plan goes..It's not that i needed a business plan. I've been doing sites for a while now and know the process for planning. And trust me we used it on this site. The only thing I'm asking for here is customer feedback. That's something you can not achieve in a plan. Thanks anyway. And a guestbook on a ecommerce site is not always a good idea. Evey business will have a least one very bad customer in the business lifetime. No matter how much you try to please them. If you have a guest book then it's a way for them to reach out to your other future potential customers and affect them in a negative way. Also, competitors can use the book also to lower creditbility. Anyway, just my experience...

One thing that jumps out at me... or rather, doesn't jump out, is some of the product pictures. For example, the white t-shirts on white background don't draw the eye to them. You might consider putting them on a contrasting background.

I'd also separate the products with a line or something. It's hard to judge if some of the links are for the picture above, or the picture below.

The one thing I would suggest is being able to flow from one page to the next...i.e not having to use the "home button" to get back to the other products.
Every page should link to every other page.
God Bless

I will put the seperators in the girls sections of the page. I don't think white on white is to bad. It happens all the time in web sites and seems to go over pretty well. as far as the navigation you don't have to go back to the home page to view all the products. There are buttons on all the shopping pages to get to the girls, guys, hats and accessories sections. Also people should look into the artist section and send in their ideas. Thanks again....
