Default http://www.pilgrim.org.uk site review please

www.pilgrimclub.org.uk

I have re-deigned this site, fr a local organisation and would like comments on th elook of the site, load times and any suggestion on how to get the pages to load faster, there are a lot of photo's on some pages.

I wanted to create a 'clean look' to the site, and if I can sort the photo's out something that loads fast.

Hi,
I find it loads quite fast, despite the photos, using IE6 on a slightly slow ADSL connection. I run about 80kbit usually.
The link on hte photo page is missing and I don't like the way the links disappear on mouseover. The way it is written it will appeal to the parents more than the youngsters. Maybe a grammar check wouldn't hurt, or perhaps I've been away too long.

You want some artwork that will pull the youngsters. They will never read all that text.

You have no meta tags on the About page. The News page has dead links on the photos.

Otherwise, I tend to like this type of straight information site. I am not sure that it will prove very appealing to the youngsters, as I said. Who and how are people expected to find it?
