The interface takes a while to load. Layout is clever, but non standard, taking additional time to figure out. If the target is the fan base, the event list should figure prominently, and not buried under an obscrure iconic interface. Especially where so little of the screen real estate is put to use.
If the design must also satisfy, say, those who book the events, the interface doesn't make it easy.
Since the interface is non standard, many may have to relearn it each visit.
The site looks good. If there is no purpose for use, then the site serves. In fact, the non standard interface keeps out the "riff raff," the tragically uncool, the business types. If the ambitions for the site are greater, then new ideas about usability and information may have to be introduced into the layout.
