Default www.employment-inc.com - Review My Job Site

hello world

I have had the site up for sometime. It was almost all text so i added graphics to the header and footer to give it a better look.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanx Mike

Hi Mike! Strange design... looks well and original, but the elements are so huge! Like a monster truck... The serif fonts on home (there're two home?) page don't fit with site design, and in the others pages you're using sans serif fonts, and looks better.
Ths site loads and works ok.

Default Review of Emplyment-Inc

Hello Whothought,
Your banner logo catches your attention. You might consider making your company's name on your logo more readable. I like all of your navigation but the top menu's last tab is cut off. The grey box in the bottom left hand corner makes your site look a little like something is missing. You provide good content about your company's mission and the services you can provide. Overall, I think that you have a good foundation for an excellent site.

I have to agree with gsmanzi about the monster truck. Also, take "employment, Inc" out of the cog--just write it across that whiter banner-like thingy.

Other than that, it looks pretty good. You maybe went a little overboard with the rainbow color scheme. I feel like I'm playing a board game. But maybe that's what you want.

Some text in your "Job-Seeker" and "Employer" boxes is scrunched up against the left edge.--needs a margin.

I'm only good for visual analysis, so that's my 2-cents worth.

i changed the cog and moved the text down to the box changed the key words.
I wish i had more talent in the design factor i can see the dif between good design and not, I think.

Oops. What I meant (for "Employment, Inc") was the whiter area to the right of the cog--and bigger type. Because where you moved it now, it gets lost as the company name.
Also, text "we have a job..." (in blue), and "Threatening..." (in red) need too be smaller, like it is in the green box. Again, don't let your text bump up so close to anything. Give it space to breathe.

Other than those things--nice site!

Looks like you copied a template from someplace like MonsterTemplates.com or something. If you did or not you should at least keep your pages consistent, I saw pages that were centered, pages that were left aligned, pages with different headers all together! Why do you have two homepages?

I give it a 6.5/10 give or take a point.

Hi Mike,
I like the fact that you can actually fill out the sing up form even if you are not in the US. A lot of international sites make it impossible to fill in a non-US address. A lot of countries don't have a 'province' in their address, sometimes not even a postcode.
Well done!

Hi! I've seen that everybody likes my "metaphor" about monster truck!. My english it's something "rusty" and i hav'nt a great vocabulary.
About SEO work, please don't use some "magic" sofware, that promotes using the "right keywords", sbmitt to a million search engines, etc.
Do it yourself. There's a lot of articles about this and on line software to help (checking your site) there's no secrets on SEO work.Only work.

Have a nice day!

Hi

Ken yes i got the header and footer graphics from a template site changed some of it to make it work for me. webdesign is not my day job im a union carpenter.

Designhead
i see what you mean as with the rainbow thing, i think i will change that also im not into rainbows.

shandy
I seem to get a small amount of users from around the world.
thanx

gsmanzi
I like the metaphor it tells me i got to change it. I maybe a carpenter but sold my truck a few years back and refuse to get one as a daily driver.
As with the SEO when the site went live i spent a week submitting to the engines by hand Russian,Spanish ect. everywhere after the second day i found the forms tho in dif languages were all pretty much the same.
