| Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

My website has been extensively revamped, I removed frames, because of problems with bookmarking/search engines/ frameless browsers (although im not sure if there are many of these still in use) and the peculiar ability of some surfers/robots to look at pages outside the frame. I was concened about download speeds, so I removed extraneous graphics and relied on css for apperance. Seeing as how I dont actually get much business off the site, it has become more of a hobby than a business need, so getting it as small as possible was a key aim. I luckily had a pc with ie6 for a day or so (so this time i hope we have no quirks there). I think I need a nice new logo, but havent designed it yet. Any feedback appreciated, and of course reciprocal reviews will be given (if you give me a clue as to where you site is).

Professional looking site. I would not leave the menu on the left as center justified. It looks out of balance. It should be left justified.
I think that the text in the introduction needs to be more clearly delineated. It all seems to run together and makes it a bit difficult to follow. Colors are nice and work well for the site.

Tested in IE6 56k modem 800x600. Loads nice and fast. Slightly too wide for 800x600. Otherwise, a nice design. Good luck with it.

The layout breaks in Firefox and thus it's pretty safe to assume that it breaks in Mozilla and Firebird... Depending on whether your target audience consists of these I can send you a pic (quite large since even at 1024*768 the layout breaks, so if you've got an email that can take 1mb mail, just ask for it =)
They break isn't horrible, it's quite readable but needs quite a bit of finishing touches. Hope this helps. |

Nice to hear it helped, makes reviewing worthwhile ;)
Thus I looked a little further, motivated by the response. Colors and layout are great, I like them but have you considered using a top div? I mean, when you scroll the top disappears while the left column stays - I'm sure this was intended but it *might* (voice of personal opinion) appear better if either the top was static or both scrolled instead of fixed left (as we've all been accustomed to with frames). I love the way your left navigation appears, it's clean and slick, the way a simple man like me likes it. The only other notable issue is the right/middle section that is too wide, it forces a scrollbar which should be remedied without too much work. And text links could be a little darker for more contrast, never mind the background on mouse-over, a lot of people would have difficulty in reading them. Our site is currently in finnish only, it's been up only for a month and the work is constantly in progress (about 240 pages currently). But, if you can give opinions in general appearance etc. those would be greatly appreciated, I originally thought that I'd put it up for review once we have the english version running. A big question for me is whether the listing of selected few timeshares (on the front page, two tables) is good idea or no - since I fear some people will interpret it as consisting of the only timeshares we've selling (instead of the 43 currently listed)... Hope this helps and glad I could be of assistance. |

If you're able to review, I posted a thread about the site, thanks in advance:
