My home page does not show up well in free Google listings for desired keywords "switchplates" "switch plates" "switchplate" & "switch plate"...and I can't figure out why. My other pages show up 1 or 2 when an theme is added such as "children switchplates", etc. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe the reason why children switchplates is listed 1st in Google search due to your link helps: www.switchhits.com/switchplates_children.html. Sometimes it is good to have your keywords to be a part of your links to improve the search. As for your default page, you will need to optimize the targetted keywords in your title as well as the body section.
