Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate.

I haven't spent too much time looking at this site since I put it together. Users have told me it is quite easy to navigate and not too harsh on the eyes but I could do with an objective view from some other people.

Many thanks those of you who take some time to look.

David

Tested in IE6 56k modem 800x600. LOads nice and fast. Might be nice if the links changed colour when the mouse is passed over them. Otherwise, a good solid design. Good luck with it.

Hi Nick

Thanks for your feedback. I will go and have a play later this week and see how I can incorporate the link colour changes across the site. Much appreciated. If you need any feedback on a site please just let me know.

Best regards

A couple of pointers:

1. I would start with an explanation of what your company and your services are on the home page instead of a definition of hypnotherapy. You want to explain the purpose of your site as soon as possible.

2. List your services and pricing somewhere. I don't even know if you offer services or whether your site is just for information purposes. You also want to at least address pricing - you don't necessarily need to give your hourly rate, but you should give visitors some idea as to the cost of your services, and their payment options. You'll also want to discuss how services are delivered - are you face-to-face only, Internet-only, or what?

3. Site Map. Every site should have a site map. This gives your visitors a nice overview of all the places they can visit, and search engines love it.

I won't comment too much on the design of your site, because I don't believe your site requires a really flashy, beautiful design and layout. Your design is consistent, clean and simple - good enough. The real goal of your site is to build confidence in David Goode, am I right? No sense wasting time and money on all the glitz.

My final comment is this: Have a call to action. Your visitors need to be prodded into action. Whether it's a "Contact David to learn more" or "Send us an email to get started on your therapy tomorrow" or whatever - you need to gently prod.

Good luck.

Hi Robin

Thank you for taking time to put together such a comprehensive review.

1. I will look at changing the home page to have a purpose instead of the definitions.

2. This was something I considered initially but just didn't feel it was valid then. You are probably right now though (especially based on your final comment). The only pricing on the site is the training courses but they are buried quite deep.

3. I just don't know how I missed that! I am normally the first to bitch when I find a big site with no map.

You are right when you say I am selling confidence in myself. I always try to keep things simple :o)

And now that you point it out, my 20/20 hindsight agrees that I do need a call to action.

Thank you very much Robin. If you need anything reviewed from a customer's perspective please just let me know.

Best regards
