This is my very first site - and would be grateful for any comments.

I am intending to update it to get it through validation.

Regards

I would say this is your third or fourth site, but anyways...

Okay overall, I am not however a fan of the "home page has different navigation than other pages." No offense, I just lose trust in a site that jumps on me like that lol.

Also you might want to bring the menu on the left closer to the content on the right.

Should I take that as a compliment? :O)

I have done a bit of HTML in the past but it is my first site that I have uploaded for someone else - I havent published anything before.

Anyway thank you for taking the time to comment - yes I was a little unsure about the home page - but the reason I did it a little differently to the rest was to give a kind of "book cover" effect..

Hi Emma,

Nice site, quite a lot on there. Homepage too different ffrom the inner pages.

Generally I think it is too white and not 'joined together' all that well.

Nice colours, just a few more needed.

Cheers

Dan

Not bad. The site doesnt work at all resolutions, and the ticker would look beter were it central to the page. Nice idea for the counter, thats unique i like it, top marks.

Dan and PHP Pro

Thank you for your comments. This is the first time that I have had the opportunity to get constructive advice. Friends just say = isnt that lovely.. etc. etc.

When I get the time I will make some changes - obvsiouly the opening page needs some work on then!

How do I ensure that it works for all resolutions? Also the ticker - do you mean counter? Sorry new to this!

Hi Emma,

Am not too sure about the ticker but with the resolution (screensize) the best way to combat this is to utilise the percentage tool with the tables you are using instead of pixels.

I personnaly prefer working to a standard, assuming that most people will have at least 600x800, that way when they have larger the screen only looks a little smaller and for those who insist on having larger still...well theres no hope for them!

have you had a chance to look at my two sites?

would appreciate any feedback
