Hey folks,

In addition to Cayenne Consulting (submitted a moment ago), I'd also love your thoughts on http://www.cayennemedia.com

Design goal: A web design shop that wants to stand out from the crowd and brings business savvy to the design process.

Target audience: Anybody who needs a mid-scale website/application developed ($3-15K range).

Desired action: Call or e-mail to request a consultation.

Comment: It seems like people either love or hate this site. Some feel that it really stands out, while others think it's way too dark. Almost all of my other designs use dark text on a white background, so I'm worried that some visitors might assume that I'll use a similar design for them without bothering to look at the portfolio sites. What do you think?

Thanks in advance!

The site is okay. Thinking outside the box is a little worn out as a phrase. Layout however is clean, and seems logical.

The use of terms like mySQL needs to be closely followed by features and benefits. I have yet to see any side-by-side comparisons to other tools. This is put out as so evident an advantage no information is needed. Add features. Then translate those into compelling user benefits.

By what methodology does any outside the box thinking come about. I'm willing to accept the Raptor app is "usable" if you are willing to explain what makes you think it is.

This lack of information is throughly common, utterly typical, and fails the "outside the box" sniff test.

The site is a good, solid, web design site. Where you lose me is in making claims without the sort of context information would require. I realize information isn't considered "real," just a polite fiction exchanged with a knowing wink. True outside the box thinking would attempt to demonstrate this does not have to be so.

The site is well designed and the colour theme is good (although it does not suit the type of website), however if one of the site's goal is to stand out from the crowd, I'm afraid it fails.

I much prefer the sites in portfolio and this is a credit to your venture, but I would redesign this site to make something more original, and perhaps not as dark a colour theme.
