Default Artist site - www.coupey.ca

Hi all,

I've completed a site for an abstract artist named Pierre Coupey. He has been a painter and printmaker since the early sixties, as well as founding the Georgia Straight newspaper and the Capilano Review magazine in Vancouver.

I tried to make the site restrained enough to contain the energetic lines and colours of his work.

What do you think?

Pierre Coupey, painter and printmaker.

Thanks!

John Dowler

The site works well for the artwork. However, I could not read a single bit of the text. Even with a magnifying glass. The text should definately be bigger. Everything else is very nice for the type of artwork that is represented there.

Good luck.

Default TIny Text

Thanks for your thoughts. I often wonder about font sizes; as micro seems to be current I wonder if we sacrifice style for accessibility. But so many sites go with small text.

I didn't recommend a serif font to the client for the body text, but acquiesced. Maybe he'll accept a larger size.

BTW, do mind me asking what monitor resolution you use? I wonder if our visitors use the size monitors that developers do.

Cheers
