Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate.

Default www.webhosts-discussion.uni.cc - WebHost Discussion forum

Hello,

I would like you’ll to comment and critique on my website located at http://webhosts-discussion.uni.cc It is a web host discussion based site. Although we don’t have much of any activity on the forum we hope that in the near future with posts from members we may be able to become a successful community..

Individuals and companies running a web-host can post their hosting plans or just direct members to their site by posting in the Host offers and requests sub-forum located at http://webhosts-discussion.uni.cc/index.php?showforum=6
People seeking hosting may also post an appropriate plan that is tailored for their needs and state the price range they are looking for.

There is a certain ‘fun’ feature I would like to point you’ll to… it is an AI bot that tries to reply to your replies. As the bot is not to perfection I have enabled ‘it’ to post only in the Off-Topic sub-forum of my site located at http://webhosts-discussion.uni.cc/in...p?showforum=10

I have tried to post my site across quite a few forums to get some nice critque and perhaps somone may find the site interesting and register there. But till now it has been to no avail. I have virtually 0 activity on the forums. Please advise as to what to do to make my forum popular ?

Thanks for reading :). I hope you register and make Web-Host Discussion a fun place to be.

Neo.

Greetings NEO,

I had a look at your forum, and i think that its got great potential. The biggest problem is that its hard to get it all started. Once the forum is has a bit of life, the traffic feeds off itself. Until that happens though, it usually hinges on one thing. I remember one experience in a yahoo club, which is in many ways similar. At first, just the founder would post - and this happened for a long time. Eventually word spread around though, and now it is a really huge community thanks to her effort. Really, it is a matter or persistence.

As the founder too, you play the biggest role - continally providing more content. This way, if people see there is always useful content, they will keep coming back. And then eventually they may begin posting! The problems is (and we have learnt this the hard way with our own forum) that a forum is a lot like a plant - if you water it regularly (and provide the content) and nurture it, it will grow up to be a beautiful thing. However, if it's neglected, it will die. So i guess im writing this for the purpose of encouragement - keep up the good work and stay with it. Hard work will get you there!

As far as SEO for your site goes, you cant go past the advice of the WebProWorld members!

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for the kind word's.

I am trying my level best .. but the ball is in the user's court once they register... site becomes better ;)

I second the thing about SEO.. but I too have some mundane knowledge of the subject :)
