Hi,

I'm new here, was wondering if some of you here would be willing to comment on my site. I'd be glad to return the review for anyone who wants too. Thanks.

By the way, I'm a single father with four kids, a full time job as a civil engineering designer and just do web and graphics late at night. :-) Like 4 am last night. I'm self taught for what it's worth and certainly don't consider myself anything like a real pro at this stuff.

But I would really appreciate an unbiased eye for ways to improve the site.

Thanks!

First off my hat's off to you being a single father with 4 children. I myself, while not single, have 2 children and 3 step-children.

The site has a good & consisten feel to it. Only two areas that stuck out to me fairly quickly - the bubble/circle background makes some of the white text hard to read, and there is alot of good textual content on it to read.

Second the navigation is a bit much. There is the slide-out menu on the left, which is cool and effective. Then at the bottom, which is good to have as well. But the links on the sides (such as on the graphic design page you have contact us and home page) aren't really necessary. At first I didn't know they were even links.

Just a bit of tweaking and you will have a good go to promote yourself.

Default Thanks

I appreciate your opinion very much. I put the home and contact side links on before I added the slide out menu at which point they became very redundant.
Thanks for the reply.
