Hi just joined i am a freelance web designer and have a small business here in wyoming and have been doing pretty well , in my second year... I was recently on the news in a special segment called made in Wyoming. And had been doing business for the last year with a bland portfolio page ... ( just click throughs to sites i did) and with the recent tv appearance i decided to beef it up a bit ... please take a look and tell me what u think..
http://www.waveswebdesign.com /// feel free to look at my portfolio sites as well and offer me any advice you may have... thanks a lot <Mod edit to comply with Site Review Rule #1 - Masterpeace> |

Well, to me it seems awful busy. I think the general look is nice. The services and portfolio take up so much room I wonder if it would be better to have them on their own page. I like the way the banner at the top flows into the sidebar. Looks very nice. Your contact info seems to be buried. Otherwise, nice site.
Good luck.

The site is rather good looking. I don't see a lot of copy, business niches or propositions, business identities, or anything other than good layout technique and lots and lots of images.
The site itself doesn't seem to have more than one page. There is no detail on how you develop ideas, whether interaction design techniques are applied, if user testing or test methodologies are applied. The site is a mile wide but an inch deep. To the casual glance the only design service in evidence is layout technique. There is no information, just a technology list. |
