Default theLaboratory.co.uk

I am just in the process of developing a new online portfolio site. Can you all please take a look and give me some feedack. It is only partially finished so some of the menu options across the top don't work yet.

Also, I know there will be a comment or two about the site being all flash, but I'm guessing that the target that my site is aimed at will have Flash installed anyway.

Thanks a million

David

Hi.

I know that you wish to present your flash work. But there are people who think that from the webdesign point, the stop flash or skip intro button is the most valuable element on the page.

Now seriously. You should really place the Enter button to a more prominent position and show it earlier.

The animation is fluent but WHERE and WHY aer you going at the intro page? Etc. .... in short, what is the idea?

Hi

First, it would be more helpful if you moved the 'Enter' button on the homepage to maybe centre of the page. A lot of people (including myself) still have 800 x 600 monitors, and so as soon as I hit your homepage, it was'nt clear how I go any further. I then realsed I had to scroll down to find your Enter button.

I like the layout of the page whereby you have a short video shot of yourself. I found the quality of the video pretty poor though, and perhaps could be a bit bigger and clearer.

Apart from that - a good site so far, and lovely design.

I hope the above helps and good luck with your site.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the feedback, fair point regarding the Enter button, I have now moved it to a more central point on the page. Further comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

David

Hi .. cool site

Just one small point .. on the work page the bottom category in the pop down menu MiscellanIous should actually be MiscellanEous.

I know it probably doesn't sound that important .. but I have had clients complain bitterly about spelling mistakes in work I have done.

Cheers
