Tested in IE6 56k modem 800x600. The site seems very slow to load - in fact I gave up waiting.

It surprises me that you gave up because the site was loading too slowly.
I Presume that you are located in UK?
We are located in Australia and the site takes on average, about 25 seconds to load.
Because we are trying to attract potential clients from the UK and USA it concerns me if you are giving up on us, then so are many more.
Do you think the problem could be with the UK servers? or, is it more likely to be a major problem with the site?
If you wouldn't mind, could you please persevere with the slow download so that you could have a look at the site, and in particular the html coding.

I didn’t have any problems with viewing your site. Loaded quickly, and there seems to be a lot of content for potential viewers.

I would say that the pages seemed to lack consistency. You have used different colored and shaped buttons for enquiries. You have also capitalized certain words on one page, and then left in lowercase on another.

Also, do you have one logo that you could use on all of the pages? I thought that I’d left your website when I clicked on a link from the homepage.

These aren’t big issues but consistency helps to build trust when you’re buying on the Web.

Thanks for your most valuable input. I will take steps to address the problems you have mentioned.
As you can most likely see, I am a complete novice at web-site building, however, I am learning more everyday. Hopefully I'll get it right sooner rather than later!

Gary, if you can spare the time, do you think you could have a look at my html source?
Whenever I have the sight analysed, I get the message that the robots.txt fill is wrongly constructed.
