Nice, smooth, professional looking site. A couple of points to think about.

The home page was very slow to load - and we're on cable. Modem users are going to have a hard time reaching your site and just might not have the patience.

I'd prefer the see your links done the left hand side in alphabetical order. Took me a minute to work out what was going on.

Some of the links I clicked on returned a message to say that there were no products in that category. Why include them? It's just frustrating for the user and likely to drive them away before they have found what they are looking for.

Good luck

Jessica

I'm sure the VC's would want a fairly thorough user test. Since few are going to register, put up a mock product and bid on one, this is the only way to find out what the complete transaction process is going to be like, so innovation in this area would be a critical factor.

The site looks okay, but a critical part of this type of site is the content. I checked out several sections, and there is really very little or none. Finally these systems are based very much on trust architectures (rating of buyer/seller, for instance) which lie outside the realm of most commentary. This, if I were going to assume the role of user, would turn me off. I doubt other sites have the last word on making sure transactions close to the satisfaction of all concerned.

The site is a fairly good looking container. However there is little to differentiate from entrenched competition, nor is there a tagline articulating it. This type of site is content driven, this allows evaluation of browsing, navigation, and other vital factors and tasks. The site is to that point where general looks matter less than task completion, desirability factors, and basic information.
