Default Nice Site

I like the home page a lot. Clean, fast loading, and while "caravanning" is't a common term in the US, I think most Europeans will know exactly what the site is about immediately.

I have three suggestions for the home page:

Lose the counter, visitors won't care what number they are, if you want to track stats, find a solution that is invisible to visitors. This will speed up page load times and clean up the look even more.

Add a link to a sitemap in the footer. This will give spiders a link to all your interior pages instead of having to follow graphic links.

You have duplicate meta tags throughout your site (two keywords, author, generator, etc. tags). You only need one set per page, at most.

I clicked on Scotland. The center "content" area required horizontal scrolling even at 1024*768. At 800*600 the scrolling is insane.

I don't like the animated gif. If you want to use a graphic for each section, place a static flag in the header or something.

The map feature is really nice, but the deeper I clicked, the less like the original site it looked. Make the colors, header, and navigation uniform so it looks like I'm still on the same site.

Speaking of colors. I don't really like the gray background you use on most pages. I think a white background just like on your home page would be great.

Again, I think you've done well. The site loaded fast for me, and navigation was always easy. Good luck.
