The Internet Treasure Chest reported that your store could not be found. This on Saturday night at 20:24 Pacific Daylight Savings Time. This level of specificity is provided so that you can get on these guys to do right by you.

Black test on a dark grey background is a definate no no. Your pages colours scheme doesn't quite gel. The top right image doesn't fit in with the page at all, maybe if you just had the curve without the bit above it would look better.

In the shopping cart you use a new table for every item when you could easily use a single table. And then in each items table you use a TD for the picture and then a TD for the description so you end up with a load of blank space below the images. Use a single TD for both images and the description and use the align attribute in the image tag, this way the text will be to the side of the image and then go underneath it if it goes past the picture.

You have no meta tags at all and a lot of your tag attributes are not quoted. In every paragraph where you have used the irmas.png the paragraph ends up being split on 800x600 screens.

Yes he has added a . by mistake. But I'm at work right now and am stuck with IE 5.5 and as always IE will gladly correct any errors for you so that it doesn't matter how sloppy your HTML is, or your CSS, or your javascript. </anti IE rant>

Default Melendez shope

Hi melendez,

This site has a neat little shopping cart, good simple navigation, with a nice flexible (liquid) page layout... okay that's the good stuff over with! ;-) First thing, I'm a bit confused over the name of the domain... what is a shope? do you mean shop? Maybe this a regional word, but I've not come across it myself... or is this your surname? curious that's all!

Looking at your page, the design approach seems to me to be very piecemeal, an image here, a border there... try to think of the overall picture, rather than getting overly concerned with small details. Why not plan out your page layout on paper first? See if you can come up with a design you're happy with.. and then return to your PC! A logo that says more than "here's a map of the world" would also be good! The black text on grey has already been mentioned... this needs to be changed immediately to improve readability.. and there's my usual 'bugbear' that old Times New Roman default font.. please try out a sans-serif alternative such as Arial or Verdana.. they work so much better than serif fonts on the web.

I did also notice several typos, and the following line of text on your homepage: We want your shoping experance to be delightfull. So many spelling mistakes will inevitably put off a lot of site visitors. In their minds it draws a question mark over your credibility, and they may well choose to go elsewhere! If English isn't your first language, or even if you know it's a bit weak, have someone else check through and proof-read your site copy for you.

Overall, I get the impression that your main effort has been in developing the shopping cart itself, and you seem a little stuck on how to present your goods most effectively. My advice would be to learn from other successful ecommerce sites... see how they get their products noticed from the word Go!

Best of luck to you

Paul
