http://spauldingtbear.tripod.com/spa...den/index.html

The intended audience is Teddy Bear lovers of all ages and book publishers. It's created in Tripod, so I only used html for some of the links and banners. I don't know html, but ultimately, this web den is designed to show book publishers what kind of content I want to have for a series of books about my Teddy Bear, Spaulding. With that, as well as the usual comments needed for content, style, ease of use, etc., I, also, need help finding out the following:
--Is it easy for any age to wander around it, including the Blog and links?

--Is there a better way to list the pages that is just as creative as the room concept?

--Is it interesting enough to want to go back to occasionally, to watch for updates?

--Is it interesting enough that adults don't feel like they are being talked down to while kids can still understand it?

--Is it insulting in any way that I don't know?

Not being any kind of web pro, when I check out other's web sites, I'd be looking as a surfer, which also is helpful.

Thanks for any help!

Lynn

Lynn-

I love it! I'm not a web pro by any means, but I really enjoyed looking at the teddy scenerios in each part of the home. I really like how you set it up. I am definately going to share this site with my 8 year old daughter who will have a ball looking through it.

To Your Success!

Nanners,
Wow! Thanks! Then you don't think the menu gets too complicated with all the paratheses?

Lynn-

The parentheses I didn't pay much mind to, but you may want to consider putting the room name in bold and the rest in parentheses. The chart on your front page did confuse me at first, thinking that I could click there to get to the room, then I realized you had a menu to the left to get you to each rooms. You might also consider using some type of bullet or box for each menu item to make it stand out some for easy navigation. I did notice a lot of banners that could take away from your site that doesn't flow with the theme of your site. Sometimes, too many banners can be annoying. Unless you have a specific reason for your tarketed visitors to be interested in the banners, you may want to reconsider how many you have or atleast have a seperate page for them.

I love your site. You can tell that you really had a lot of fun shooting the pictures and organizing it into your website. I didn't notice anything offending or talking down. If an adult comes to a teddy bear website, they shouldn't expect adult language. It was presented well as instructional and intended for teaching children. I showed the site to my children as promised and when they saw it they got really excited. That's what you want.

Great Job!

Default Nanner, thanks so Much!

The disadvantages to using a free website provider is that you have little say over the banners displayed. The ones on top of the page and the very bottom aren't mine, however, the few on the bottom of the pages that are actually in the pages, are mine. Most have to do with giving, which is always good to learn, no matter what age!

Another disadvantage is tha I have no say about formatting the menu links, however, I think I'll try to trick it into doing your suggestion. You also gave me another idea--if I can make the table smaller, include links for each page, and I put it on the bottom of each page, it allows visitors to choose which pages they'd like to see next, after checking out the current page! Thanks!

Lynn
